Portfolio
For 2009, our range of Speciality beers: Belgian, German and many other international beers and jenevers currently stocked by Cave Direct are included in this list, (although this is always changing). Please, use the porfolio dropdown to browse through or new listings, tasting notes and vessel information.
The portfolio of beers is organised as follows:
• All beers are categorised by colour group (Blond – White – Amber – Dark – Flavoured etc), except for certain appellations like Pils/ Lager, Trappist beers or regional specialities, which are listed according to origin, and the international beers and lagers, which are listed by country.
• Each colour group or appellation is then sub-divided in alcohol strength groups (Single 0.5 – 4.0%, Extra 4.0 – 6.0%, Double 6.0 – 8.0%, Triple 8.0 – 10.0%, Quadruple 10.0% and above).
• Alcohol strength is indicated by volume % as indicated on the label of the keg or bottle at time of printing.
• Case, bottle and keg size are indicated by centilitre, litre or as otherwise stated in gallons.
• For each category we have selected two or more brand leaders, which we consider to be the best representative for the style of that beer.
• Individual tasting notes for each product are available on request through your Cave Direct contact.
• Bottled beers marked Rb are delivered in returnable cases for which a deposit will be charged. This will be credited on return of a full case of empties. Bottled beers marked Nrb are non-returnable.
